Kilcar have progressed to the quarter-final stage of the Donegal Senior Club Championship following a 0-13 to 0-11 victory over Naomh Columba in Towney this evening.
The hosts made the brighter start, opening up a 0-5 to 0-2 lead after 20 minutes, before taking a three-point advantage into half-time at 0-7 to 0-4.
Naomh Columba responded strongly after the break, drawing level nine minutes into the second half.
The sides remained evenly matched for much of the second period, but two crucial two-point scores from Rian Mac Aodha helped Kilcar edge ahead and secure their place in the last eight.
