The State spent over €2.75 billion on homelessness services, between 2014 and 2025.
Of this, charities have been paid more than one billion, with Focus Ireland and Dublin Simon among the top recipients.
According to the Sunday Times, private providers drew down almost €1 billion over the same period, mainly for emergency accommodation.
