An East Derry MLA says the Assembly at Stormont has a chance to make a real difference in the lives of women and girls who are suffering from endometriosis and other illnesses without proper support from the medical system.
The SDLP’s Cara Hunter told the Assembly she hosted an event in Co Derry recently at which women told stories of unbearable pain being left untreated, and in some cases, not being believed by medical professionals.
Some, she said, were in such a state of despair, that they had considered suicide.
Ms Hunter told MLAs it’s a situation that must be addressed………….
