Some schools in Donegal are to be included in a new programme aimed at tackling period poverty.
A grant announced today will fund free period products in school bathrooms, with the initiative shaped by students’ experiences.
The aim is to ensure no student misses out on education.
The first phase will support 101 DEIS Plus schools across 13 counties, including Donegal.
The long-term objective is to make free period products available in all schools.
