Strabane Golf Club emerged as Donegal Youth Cup Champions after a titanic battle with Dunfanaghy Golf Club on Sunday.
Played in glorious sunshine on the manicured Letterkenny Golf Course, a dramatic Youth Cup Final went down to the 18th hole.
A vital birdie putt by Liam Curran – to the delight of the large Strabane contingent – sealed the victory.
It was a close encounter with Dunfanaghy winning the 1st match 4 and 2 through Paddy Flanagan and Jack Robinson.
Strabane then won the 2nd leg 2 up so it was all to play for and it took Noah Burns and Liam Curran to seal the win on the 18th in a pulsating match alongside Cormac Gill and Scott Gallagher.
Meanwhile, Gweedore Golf Club are the new Donegal Youth Plate Champions after overcoming Portnoo Golf Club 2-1.
Jamie Mc Gee and Colman Mac Cumhhaill set up the victory by coming out on top 4 and 2.
John Joe Mc Bride, Fionn Mc Bride, Darragh Sweeney and Aaron Mc Bride rose to the occasion to produce excellent performances for Gweedore.
