A convicted murderer who escaped while on day-release has been found in Donegal.
Gary Anderson was given a sentence of life in prison alongside his brother in 2023 for the murder of Karol Kelly in Derry in 2018.
He was arrested in Buncrana this afternoon.
He failed to return to prison on Monday, 14 September, while on temporary release, on compassionate grounds to attend his fathers funeral.
Detective Inspector Gareth Lavery of the PSNI has thanked everyone for their assistance.
Work is now ongoing to return Anderson to custody, and police say an update will be available in due course.
