A red marine weather warning has been issued for Donegal.
Met Éireann says westerly winds will reach violent storm force 11 at times.
The alert, which comes into effect at 7pm this evening, will be in place between Rossan Point and the Bloody Foreland, the Bloody Foreland and Malin Head, and between Malin Head and Fair Head.
This will last until 6am tomorrow morning.
