Calls have been made for dedicated Garda Divisional Drugs Unit in Donegal.
Councillor James Pat McDaid has written to the Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald saying there is a real crisis in Donegal with the increased misuse of substances.
He believes this is coupled with a decreased number of Gardai in the county, stating there is a lack of manpower in areas such as Letterkenny, Inishowen and in west Donegal.
