Donegal Deputy Pádraig MacLochlainn has branded comments made by Fianna Fáil’s Deputy Charlie McConalogue regarding government inaction over prescription charges as ‘completely hypocritical’.
A statement was issued earlier this week by Deputy McConalogue in which he criticised the current government over their failure to abolish prescription charges for medical card holders.
Deputy MacLochlainn says the remarks are completely hypocritical given the fact that prescription charges for those with medical cards were first introduced under the previous Fianna Fáil led government back in 2010.
