The Ulster Senior League lost their opening game in the Michael Ward Interprovincial Cup in Dublin on Friday night going down to Munster 2-1.
Donal O’Brien’s side hit the front at Jackson Park on 14 minutes through Letterkenny Rovers Paul Mc Veigh and lead at the break.
Munster scored twice in the latter half to take the win as Ulster seen out the game with ten men, Cockhill’s Brendan McLaughlin was sent to the line for two yellows.
Ulster, winners of the last two tournaments will look to bounce back when the play Connacht on Saturday afternoon.
They’ll meet Leinster in their final game on Sunday morning.
