It has been claimed that there are a number of foreign factory boats invading local crab pots off Tory Island.
The Annelies Ilena, , the biggest trawler in the world, the Margiris and two German boats and are apparently towing their nets off Inishbofin near Tory Island.
One local fisherman has stated that the vessels are trawling their nets through his gear, effectively ruining livelihood.
The man has made efforts to get in touch with the boats but to no avail.
