LYIT to contest Higher Education Division 3 Hurling Final

The LYIT hurlers are heading for the Higher Education Finals this weekend in Cork.
The Letterkenny students sealed their place in the Division 3 final with a 4-7 to 3-6 win over University Ulster Magee at the O’Donnell Park in Letterkenny on Tuesday.
County man Sean Mc Veigh scored 3-6 of the LYIT’s total.
They will play the British Champions Aberdeen on Saturday Morning at the Cork Institute of Technologhy.
Elsewhere the Colaiste Na Carraige footballers were comfortable winners in the Ulster Arthurs Cup(u16) semi final last night.
The Carrick boys beat Ballybay Community School 2-22 to 0-2 at Irvinestown.
They will play Breifne College, Cavan in the final.
