The Department for Regional Development in the North has announced that Public Inquiries on the A5 scheme proposals will begin next week.
A previous consultation process gained 1,266 responses which closed on April 4.
The Department will appoint the Planning Appeals Commission to hold these public inquiries later in the year.
The new consultation process will run from April 18 for six weeks and Strabane Councillor Patsy Kelly says this is another step in getting a firm link established between Northern Ireland and Donegal:
