No role in Tour De France for Team Sky’s Philip Deignan

Letterkenny’s Philip Deignan has not been included in the Team Sky squad for this years Tour De France.
Philip’s race in the Giro earlier in the year didn’t go to plan as he had to withdraw just a few days from the end in Italy.
Fellow Irishman Nicolas Roche will also not ride in this year’s Tour.
The son of 1987-winner – Stephen, has also been excluded from the Team Sky party, who are gunning for a fourth Tour victory under Chris Froome.
It’s the first time since 2009 that Roche will be absent from the race.
Deignan and Roche will now be targeting a place in the squad for the Vuelta a Espana in September.
