PSNI praise brave man in Derry

The PSNI in Derry have publicly thanked a man for his help in the arrest of a man in the city following an attempted robbery.
Last night in Glenfada a member of the public chased the suspect who was believed to be in possession of a knife and apprehended him until the police arrived on the scene.
The police praised the man for the danger he put himself in but advised that this is not always encouraged.
