The IFA is accusing Transport Minister Shane Ross of using a sledgehammer to crack a nut in discussions on the development of greenways.
There are a number of greenway proposals being considered across the country, including some in Donegal, and this week, Minister Ross said he believes compulsory purchase orders may be necessary.
However, the IFA says consultation with landowners is the only way proposed greenways will be developed.
