Rory Gallagher adds Richard Thorton to Donegal backroom team

Donegal Manager Rory Gallagher has added Tyrone man Richard Thornton to his backroom team.
Thorton replaces Jack Cooney who served as county trainer for the past two seasons.
During his playing days, Thorton won an All Ireland u21 title with Tyrone while he also managed his local club Killyclogher and the Tyrone Vocational Schools side.
His most recent role was coaching Derry side Loup who made the county Senior Football Final.
The appointment in Donegal is Thorton’s first at inter county level
