Frustration is said to be building among farmers in Inishowen who have been devastated by last month’s flooding.
While home and business owners are being helped in some way through emergency funding, a similar scheme is yet to be established for farmers.
An interdepartmental meeting is taking place in Dublin later today.
Donegal Chairman of the Irish Natura and Hill Farmers Association Henry O’Donnell says that meeting has to come up with a solution.
He says there is growing anger over the rate of progress being made, particularly as there is no clarity about what will follow the Teagasc assessment that is currently underway…………
