Calls for end to Buncrana gridlock woes

 

Traffic congestion in Buncrana is said to be a major problem with calls on Donegal County Council to carry out a review as a matter of urgency.
Two junctions in particular at Cassie road at the Generals Shop and the other at Westbrook Bridge – both entering onto Cockhill road – are said to be at the core of the issue with the town reportedly at gridlock during peak times.
Local Cllr Jack Murray says with a new tourism season fast approaching, the influx of more people will add to the problem further.
He says it would be in everyone’s best interest for a resolution to be found:
