403,000 people are receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week, a drop of over 17,600 on last week.
In Donegal, the number of recipients fell by just over 600.
113,778 people in Donegal are receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week, 606 fewer than last week, and 8,816 down on May of last year.
There’s been a fall in the number of people closing their PUP accounts in Donegal, with 507 doing so this week, compared to 629 last week. That’s a fall of 19.3%, slightly higher than the national fall of 13.5%.
There’s also been a slight increase in the number of people receiving Enhanced Illness Benefit in Donegal this week, with 4,433 claimants, 41 more than last week.
