The Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council says that golf has put Donegal “on the map” following the success of the European Tour Irish Legends event that took place at Rossapenna over the weekend.
The event was won by Danish golfer Thomas Bjorn after it took a play-off at the 18th hole to decide a winner yesterday evening.
Cllr Jack Murray says Donegal County Council will be proactive in ensuring the event makes a return next year:
