The Department of Health has reported 1,725 new cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland today.
As of the latest figures, 473 people are in hospitals with the virus here – that’s up 24 in just a day.
97 people are now being treated in ICU for the virus here, up 4 from yesterday.
Those figures come as the Government have come under criticism for not doing enough to lessen the spread of the virus before further loosening restrictions.
