A Donegal County Councillor has called Minister Leo Varadkar to reinstate the Local Improvement Schemes across the Country which he says are hugely important for Donegal.
The LIS Scheme allowed the council repair lanes or roadways outside the County Roads network providing 10% – 15% of the cost was paid by the users of the Roadway.
Councillor Seamus O’Domhnaill spoke on the issue a recent meeting of the Border Regional Authority held in Co.Louth which backed a motion calling for the scheme to be reinstated.
