The Minister for Housing has been accused of losing control of the homeless situation.
Figures released by the Department of Housing yesterday show that 7,297 adults were homeless in Ireland at the end of May.
The May homeless report also revealed that the number of children in emergency accommodation has now passed 3,000.
In the North-West region a total of 94 adults were homeless in May, 31 of those being in the combined Donegal/Leitrim area.
