Councillor Liam Blaney is due to be elected the new Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council today.
The Fianna Fail Councillor will take the chain of office at the Council’s AGM today, taking over the role from Councillor Jack Murray.
A special sitting of Donegal County Council will take place today also to discuss the inter-agency response in the county to the Ukrainian crisis.
