An historic Sister City Partnership Agreement between Ireland and the US has been signed by the President of the Association of Irish Local Government, Donegal County Councillor Nicholas Crossan.
Ireland has become the fourth country to sign the agreement which encourages stronger links between Irish and American local governments.
Councillor Crossan says it adds a new dimension to the Irish American political partnership.
He hopes the agreement will preserve relations into the future:
