Boxing fans, family members and friends were out in force in Newtownstewart last night as Jude Gallagher returned home after his gold medal boxing success at the Commonwealth Games.
It was a night to remember for the 20 year old who is the toast of North West boxing after his performances in Birmingham – even though he was disappointed not to get to fight in his final where he was awarded a walkover win when Joseph Commey from Ghana withdrew from the fight.
Many local fans who had traveled over to Birmingham were there last night as the Two Castles Boxing Club member returned to a magnificent welcome .
