Army officers says Donegal barrack’s closure was efficient

The General Officer Commanding the 4th Western Brigade says barracks closures in Donegal were achieved at minimal cost to the tax payer, and the army’s responsibilities were carried out well within budget.
Brigadier General Gerry Hegarty is in the North West for a two day tour during which he is meeting with members of the 58 Infantry battalion Reserve Defence Force.
Speaking on the Shaun Doherty Show today, he said whatever costs may have been incurred after the moves, the move out of Rockhill in Letterkenny was achieved very efficiently:
