1 in 5 football fans have said they would turn in their favourite teams jersey if their partner issued an ultimatum – leaving the remaining 4 in 5 ditching their partners for the pitch.
A poll of 2000 fans found 19% would abandon their favourite premier league team, if their partner threatened to ‘turn off the love’.
The study by Discovery, found Southampton fans were most likely to ditch their beloved Saints if their other half demanded it.
Newcastle followers were least likely to give in to their partner’s demands.
