Business leaders call for robust response in budget to ‘challenging business conditions’

Business leaders in the North-West have called for the 2023 budget to include a robust response to the current challenging business conditions.

Yesterday, Ibec, the group that represents Irish businesses from across the North-West met with Ministers and Regional TDs to highlight key priorities ahead of this month’s Budget.

Ibec says that Budget 2023 must provide support for the immediate challenges created by the rising cost of energy and living but also the long-term strategic issues facing society.

The meeting heard members are already experiencing tighter capital markets and rapidly rising costs, with this expected to worsen during winter.
