Derry Police concerned after report of attempted child abduction

Police in Derry are appealing for information following the report of a suspicious approach in the Sheelin Park area on yesterday afternoon.
It’s been claimed that at approximately 2.50pm, a white van with three men on board approached an 8 year old girl. One man from the van approached the girl and grabbed her arm but she broke free and ran way. The man that approached the girl is described as being in his 20s, approximately 5’11” tall, of a tanned complexion and with discoloured teeth. He was described as wearing a white tracksuit top, blue jeans and brown shoes.
The girl was not injured but was left badly shaken by the incident.
Police at Strand Road are appealing for information.
