The region of Derry City & Strabane recorded the second highest level of alcohol-specific deaths in Northern Ireland in 2022.
These include conditions known to be exclusively caused by alcohol and not conditions which may only be partially attributed to alcohol use.
Belfast Local Government District had the highest age-standardised rate at 30.1 per 100,000 population, while Derry and Strabane had a rate of 28.1.
