International students are more at risk of being targeted by accommodation fraudsters.
University Student Union’s and the Gardaí are appealing to anyone looking for a place to rent to be cautious of anything that seems too good to be true.
One third of rental scams happen at this time of year with over 12 reports of people losing thousands of euro last month.
