Government says new childcare subsidy rates will save parents money

New subsidy rates under the National Childcare Scheme come into effect from next Monday.

The Department of Children says the minimum hourly subsidy for children under 15 will rise from 1 euro 40 an hour to 2 euro 15.

That’s an increase of 53 percent, as unveiled in the last Budget.
