A Donegal Senator is claiming that the scale of proposed job losses and cutbacks at An Post and Eircom is tantamount to another attack on rural Ireland.
Senator Brian Ó Domhnail has raised serious concerns about the impact on communities in the North West of 1,500 planned redundancies at An Post and potentially up to 2,000 job cuts at Eircom.
He says these massive cuts, along with the closure of local AIB branches, will come as a major blow to communities in this region.
Senator Ó Domhnaill wants the Government to intervene………..
