Housing starts in Donegal increased by 53% in the first eight months of 2024 compared to the previous year.
In the county, the number of notices of intention to commence construction or convert buildings for residential use rose to 762, up from 498 during the same period in 2023.
August 2024 saw 33 such notices issued.
