Three council projects commended at Excellence Awards

Donegal County Council has been commended for three projects that were shortlisted in the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards.
The projects shortlisted included the One Donegal Cultural Diversity Month which received a commendation under the Festival of the Year category, the Donegal Gathering which was commended under the Supporting Tourism category and Donegal Fire Service’s response to the gorse fires in May 2011 under the Outstanding Customer Service category.
Speaking after the Awards ceremony, Garry Martin, Director of Finance said the Council is delighted to have these projects commended .
