Donegal North East Deputy Charlie Mc Conalogue says there must be a comprehensive review of the SUSI system of administering student grants to ensure that problems this year are not repeated next September and beyond.
There had been some teething problems when the centralised grant processing system came into effect last year, but despite promises that delays would be addressed, the problems have persisted.
