Donegal county council has committed to not increasing rents in 2013.
The 2013 budget meeting was dominated by a council executive proposal to increase rents by 2 euro per month.
While that proposal was eventually withdrawn it doesn’t mean a rent increase of some level could be introduced.
Councillor Cora Harvey has now been assured that there will be no increase this year. She says the council will resist any pressure from government to do so….
