Last month was the ninth warmest July on record.
Met Éireann also revealed it was the 12th warmest of any month, in 126 years of records for Ireland.
The hottest temperature in July was recorded at Mount Dillon in County Roscommon, where it reached just over 31 degrees.
Meanwhile, the sunshine was recorded to be the dullest in the North West last month.
