Mark English is among the headliners in an Irish team of 27 athletes named for next month’s World Championships in Japan.
The Finn Valley athlete has had a fantastic season so far, becoming the first Irish athlete to run a sub-1:44 800m back in June.
Conor Kelly of Finn Valley has also been named in the squad to travel to Tokyo, while Letterkenny’s Erin Friel has been named in reserve.
