Police in Derry and Strabane are urging people to check the facts before they buy anyone an e-scooter this Christmas.
They are asking the public to familiarise themselves with the law surrounding the use of motorised vehicles.
E-scooters can only be used on private land with the landowner’s permission and cannot be used on public roads, pavements or cycle lanes.
The PSNI say they don’t want anyone’s Christmas gift to end in disappointment.
