Police investigate homophobic attack in Derry

Police are investigating a homophobic hate crime after two men were attacked on the Peace Bridge in Derry on Saturday night.

It is reported that the incident happened at around half past eleven, when the two men had made their way to the bridge and were assaulted in its vicinity.

One of the victims sustained a head injury, while the other suffered facial and hand injuries.

Police and ambulance crews attended the scene.

The authorities are now asking for anyone with information to come forward.
