Omagh Bombing Inquiry being discussed at latest British-Irish Intergovernmental Conference meeting

The British-Irish Intergovernmental Conference is meeting in Farmleigh House today.

Tánaiste Simon Harris and Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan are in talks with Northern Ireland’s Secretary of State Hilary Benn and Under-Secretary of State Matthew Patrick.

They’re discussing the joint framework on legacy issues, and the Omagh Bombing Inquiry.

The two government’s are also issuing a renewed appeal for information about ‘The Disappeared’, including Columba McVeigh, who is now missing for 50 years.
