Three arrests in Down as part of cross border probe into right wing extremism

The north’s Serious Crime Branch made three arrests last night as part of a cross-border investigation with gardai, into violent right-wing extremism.

It follows searches previously carried out in County Down.

A 38-year-old man was arrested in Ballynahinch, a 40-year-old woman was arrested in Lurgan, and a 48-year-old man was arrested in Kilkeel.

All three were arrested under the North’s Terrorism Act and taken to Belfast for questioning.
