Head of HSE claims current disciplinary rules are not fit for purpose

The head of the HSE says current disciplinary rules are no longer fit for purpose.

Bernard Gloster told the Sunday Independent, current disciplinary procedures are too slow, highly litigious and can take years to complete.

He revealed that at least 38 HSE staff have been dismissed since 2020, with many cases later overturned on appeal due to flaws in process.
