Gardaí have seized a vehicle in the Dungloe area for a lack of insurance.
This was on Wednesday evening when officers from the Milford Road Policing Unit encountered a vehicle with non-compliant registration plates.
They stopped the vehicle and it was then established that the driver was not licensed to drive in this jurisdiction.
Gardaí have said that court proceedings and fixed charged penalty notices will follow.
