
People in Donegal are being encouraged to donate blood this week, as stocks hit a low.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service are holding clinics in Buncrana and Carndonagh this week.
Paul McKinney, Director of Services and Logistics at ITBS, says recent bad weather has caused clinical attendance to plummet.
He added that the process is painless and a fear of needles shouldn’t stop anyone from donating:
The clinics are being held in the following locations this week:
- Monday February 9th: Buncrana, Co.Donegal, Inishowen Gateway Hotel Buncrana 06:30pm – 09:40pm
- Tuesday February 10th: Buncrana, Co.Donegal, Inishowen Gateway Hotel Buncrana 02:30pm – 05:10pm,07:00pm – 09:40pm
- Wednesday February 11th: Carndonagh, Co.Donegal, Community School Carndonagh 02:30pm – 05:10pm,07:00pm – 09:40pm
- Thursday February 12th: Carndonagh, Co.Donegal, Community School Carndonagh 02:30pm – 06:40pm
