
Local authorities in Donegal, Westmeath, Sligo and Louth have submitted area plans which will see the living city initiative extended in those counties.
The scheme offers tax relief for certain derelict or vacant properties and its understood the expanded plan could open for applicants by the summer.
Today at Cabinet Tánaiste Simon Harris is expected to extend the measures until 2030, while maximum relief thresholds will be raised for businesses and commercial properties from €200,000 to €300,000.
