Sinn Féin defends opposition to €90bn Ukraine loan

Sinn Féin is defending its opposition to a €90 billion loan to Ukraine, after the Taoiseach says it is “tantamount” to asking Kyiv to “surrender.”

Today marks four years since the start of Russia’s invasion.

In the European Parliament, Sinn Féin voted against the loan, which would see €60 billion spent on military equipment.

Micheal Martin says if Europe were to withdraw military funding now, it would hand a victory to Russia.
